Police footage of the domestic abuse allegations against Democratic candidate Raphael Warnock by his ex-wife, Ouleye Ndoye, surfaced late Tuesday night. Fox News released clips of the footage during a segment of Tucker Carlson Tonight.
Warnock’s ex-wife, Ouleye Ndoye, explained to police that Warnock had run over her foot while attempting to drive away with their two children. Warnock and his ex-wife, Ouleye Ndoye, stood in front of police, each giving their account of what occurred. Warnock claimed that he believed Ndoye wasn’t near his car and “didn’t believe” what Ndoye was telling police.
“This man’s running for United States Senate, and all he cares about right now is his reputation. And I work at the mayor’s office, and this is a big problem. I’ve been trying to be very quiet about the way that he is for the sake of my kids and for the sake of his reputation,” explained Ndoye, breaking into tears. “I’ve tried to keep the way that he acts under wraps for a long time and today he crossed the line. So that is what is going on here. He is a great actor, phenomenal at putting on a really good show.”
No charges were filed against Warnock for the incident. Additionally, police noted that Ouleye didn’t present any discoverable injuries.
The incident between Warnock and Ndoye occurred this past March, less than a week after the White House declared the COVID-19 outbreak a national emergency. Days after the incident, Warnock filed for divorce.
Warnock and Ndoye were married for about three years, having two children together before finalizing their divorce in May of this year.
The video surfaced with a little less than two weeks before the election runoffs on January 5.
“Any allegation of domestic abuse should be taken seriously, and the allegations made against Raphael Warnock in this video are deeply troubling,” stated Republican Party of Georgia spokeswoman Abigail Sigler. “Warnock’s silence on these disturbing allegations is deafening, and he owes the people of Georgia answers about what exactly happened here.”
Other testimonies against Warnock’s character have surfaced recently. Last week, a coalition of black ministry leaders rebuked Warnock for his stance on abortion. The leaders told voters to avoid voting for Warnock and Ossoff, calling the two candidates’ political stances “unbiblical.”
The Georgia Star News reached out to spokespersons for Warnock’s campaign about Ndoye’s testimony to their candidate’s character. Warnock’s campaign didn’t issue a response by press time.
